Stella Luna Gelato Café is a locally owned and operated family business that all began when a gal from Ottawa met a guy from Rome; fell in love with each other and with the dream to share some of life’s simplest pleasures with you….good health; relationships with family and friends; having a place to belong; sharing a laugh and eating some too-good-to-be-true gourmet, artisan gelato. Although artisan gelato is our specialty, we’re not just “GELATOMANIA”. We offer a full European Coffee Bar with the best cappuccino this side of Rome, fresh fruit smoothies & frappé (which is an Italian milkshake just sooo much more exotic sounding!!), Italian panini, soups, salads, buttermilk waffles and beautiful gelato cakes. My partner and I miss many things from home but thanks you to I can take mangoes off that list. I visited your cafe 2 days after you opened and my curiosity was sparked by the latter half of the name: Luna. My younger dog has the same name so I had to check it out. I’m glad i did. I’m a vegetarian, and gave up dairy recently, for ethical reasons. Your sorbets saved my love for sweet treats. I can enjoy the sweetness, guilt free! thanks once again. See you tonight 
Oh how I love, love, love Stella Luna..!! How I ever lived without those panini’s I will never know. And yesterday the honey & cinnamon Gelato… OMG… I have no words!!! Spectacular just doesn’t do it any justice.

my girlfriend and I have been visiting your gelateria (all the way from the west end) regularly since we discovered you have, hands down, the best gelato in the city. For that alone we should thank you. I was born and grew up in Buenos Aires and I have been missing great gelato ever since moving to Canada 12 years ago!
Tonight, however, I had a special treat. I ordered a scoop of your “Nonna’s Rice Pudding” and I was instantly 10 years old, having my grandmother’s arroz con leche. Like a good Italian grandmother, almost all my memories of her revolve around food: rolling gnocchi together, waiting at the table for her fried smelts, walking into her apartment and instantly being embraced with the aromas of her cooking. She used to say that cooking was the way she expressed love for her family. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that tonight you helped me feel a little bit of her love again, with your wonderful gelato. Thank you so very much, and keep putting your love into your gelato, it shows!
